Bachelor of law
The professional assignment of bachelors of law is determined by their basic legal knowledge, abilities and skills for carrying out legal activities with the aim of actually ensuring the rule of law and fair justice in our state.
The positions that a bachelor of law can occupy are determined by the legislation of Ukraine, in particular, the Laws of Ukraine «On Civil Service», «On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies», the Classifier of Professions and other national legal acts.
A bachelor of law is able to hold civil service positions of the «B» category, patronage service positions in state bodies and their apparatus, practically perform the tasks and functions of the state; work as a specialist in state and communal enterprises, institutions or organizations; legal adviser of the legal service at enterprises of non-state ownership.
Secretaries of administrative bodies; court secretaries, executors and managers; organizers of paperwork (state institutions); organizers of office management (types of economic activity); organizers of record keeping (judicial system); assistant managers of enterprises, institutions and organizations; assistant managers of production and other main divisions; assistant managers of small enterprises without a management apparatus; other assistants; other technical specialists in the field of management; state inspectors; inspectors of the customs service; tax service inspectors; social assistance inspectors; license inspectors; other state inspectors; inspectors of law enforcement agencies, criminal enforcement service, paramilitary security, private detectives and investigation specialists; specialists of the criminal enforcement service; social workers.
Master of law
The master’s degree in the specialty 081 «Law» is prepared for work in positions that require a higher legal education: in state executive bodies; in local self-government bodies; courts of general jurisdiction and specialized courts; prosecutor’s office; bodies of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine; notary system; lawyers; legal services of enterprises of all forms of ownership; legal educational institutions.
The positions that a master of law can hold are determined by the «Unified State Classification of Professions of All Categories of Workers Based on International Standards». Master of specialty 081 «Law» is a highly qualified specialist in the field of jurisprudence, who possesses a system of knowledge in the field of law, is familiar with modern scientific achievements in this field, can critically evaluate and apply theoretical postulates and innovative methods in practice, is capable of constant learning and self-improvement. Can hold the positions of specialist, specialist, civil servant of categories «A» (higher body of civil service), «B», «C», patronage service at all levels of the hierarchical structure of executive power bodies and local self-government bodies, institutions, institutions and organizations, enterprises of all forms of ownership and areas of management; the opportunity to have an independent legal practice related to the provision of legal services as a consultant, lawyer, etc.; the opportunity to participate in scientific research in research institutions and educational institutions, to engage in law-making, law-enforcement, expert-consulting and organizational-management activities.
