The Department of Labour, Environmental and Agricultural Law was established on March 1, 2006 in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University from January 31, 2006 (protocol No. 5), by separating specialized academic disciplines from the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law and the Department of Civil Law and Process.
The Head of the Department was appointed Candidate of Sciences in Law (PhD), Associate Professor Oleg Basai, who headed the department until April 2007.
From April 2007 to August 2008, the duties of the Head of the Department were performed by Candidate of Sciences in Law (PhD), Associate Professor Nadiia Bagai.
Since September 2008, the Department has been headed by Candidate of Sciences in Law (PhD), Associate Professor Nadiia Kobetska.
Since October 2020, the duties of the Head of the Department have been performed by Candidate of Sciences in Law (PhD), Associate Professor Zoryana Yaremak.
